We have tested a lot of vacuums and the Dyson brand always performs well, and the DC 33 is no exception. It has a great combination of features and performance that are hard to beat.

Dyson is still number one on our list of best bagless upright vacuums, although a couple of manufacturers are starting to give them a run for the money.

Dyson DC33 Vacuum Cleaner Review

Controls on Dyson vacuums remain simple. The DC33MF employs a single ON/OFF switch at the base of the handle, just below the wand release, everything else is manually operated. The hose and wand are deployed by first extending the wand, then pressing the release. The hose and wand give you an impressive 15.7 foot cleaning range for all your above floor cleaning needs.

Like all Dyson vacuum cleaners, the Dyson DC33 Multi Floor Bagless Vacuum Cleaner has patented Root Cyclone™ technology that creates high velocity wind speeds to expel dirt and microscopic dust from the air stream. The DC33 is equipped with a lifetime, washable HEPA filter that traps pollen and allergens, pre-motor filters are also washable. A primary benefit of being a bagless vacuum, the Dyson DC33 MultiFloor does not require expensive replacement bags or filters, greatly reducing the cost of operation over the lifespan of the vacuum.

Designed as a replacement for the DC14, the DC33 is complemented by a large .61 gallon hygienic dust bin that is easy to empty with just a push of a button. Filters are located on the side of the motor and under the dust bin and are conveniently accessible for service. New to the DC33 upright vacuum cleaner is a clear, removable blockage-check duct to see possible obstructions easily.

Weighing in at just over 17 pounds, the DC33 Multi Floor vacuum cleaner is heavy, yet still surprisingly maneuverable. Tools and accessories, like the combination tool and stair tool, are stored onboard to keep them handy when you need them. An added bonus is that all DC33 vacuum accessories have a positive lock so that they don’t come loose from the end of the wand while working.

So, how well does the Dyson DC33 MultiFloor vacuum really work? One word, GREAT! The DC33 upright has no problem removing dirt, dust, or pet hair from any surface. With a 52 foot cleaning radius and onboard attachments at the ready, there is no place that dirt can hide. And a 5-year parts and labor warranty means your Dyson DC33 Multi Floor Bagless Vacuum Cleaner will be keeping your home spotlessly clean for years to come!

  1. Esther Luna says:

This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. It has powerful suction so it pulls up tons of fine dust as well as bigger stuff (even quarters!) I love the long cord and the long reach of the wand. Everything clicks together very neatly and it’s all so logical and convenient once you learn how it all fits together. I vacuum more often now because it really works! We got it on a good sale so it wasn’t even that expensive. We’ve only had it for a month but I am hopeful that it will serve us well for many years.

  2. I have wanted a Dyson since they came out but was afraid it wouldn’t be worth the cost. Finally bought one and it is wonderful and worth every penny!!!! I never had a vacuum with this much suction even when it was brand new. I have a black lab in the house and can finally get all the dog hair. It is doing great with the Christmas tree needles too! Works great on wood floor too with just a little attention to the wheels to make sure no little rocks stick because it will scratch. The attachments are easy to use and the canister dumps easy. A retractable cord would be nice but the cord is nice and long.

I actually like to vacuum now and strongly recommend this product!

  3. Bought this model less then 6 months ago and it’s already in the shop. The cost to fix it is 80.00. Dyson is telling me that it is not under warranty. The brush belt is broken from hair and they said we need to remove the hair on a regular basis. We have no pets it just my husband, me and two little kids. We owned a Eureka for over 15 years and never had it in the shop except one time for maintance. We never had to remove hair from it. I just thought after 15 years it was time to replace. I was wrong we should of kept it. It was still working. I would not buy a dysom again. Not worth the money. If you decide to buy one be ready to clean it out after each use. Good luck!!

  4. Michell Lisa says:

I’ve been using this product for a year now, and am satisfied overall. Its suction is incredible, the beater-bar does a great job on big carpets. Emptying the canister is genius simple – just hold it over the garbage can, press the button, and you are done! It is relatively lightweight for an upright, and the way it all clips together it is very easy to carry around and up/down stairs. It also looks cool for a vacuum, so my kids want to play with it (for now, anyway). Way less hassle than my old FilterQueen with four seperate pieces to lug around!
